Also known as 'tailed pepper' thanks to the little stalks attached, cubeb peppercorns grow in the Indonesian islands of Java and Sumatra. They are harvested prior to ripening, then dried.

Cubeb pepper tastes strongly aromatic with more complex tones than other black peppers. It delivers a long finish and a big mint, eucalyptus flavour.
This versatile ingredient pairs well with fish, fruit desserts, pastry, cold or hot soups, etc.
