Before starting this Melon & Feta Salad recipe, make sure you have organised all the necessary ingredients.
Cut the melon in half. Remove the seeds.
Using a melon baller, scoop out the flesh into spherical pieces.
Remove the stalk from the tomatoes.
Cut them in half.
Squeeze to remove the juice and seeds.
Dice the tomatoes...
... and the feta cheese.
Rinse and dry the lemon. Grate the zest in the bowl.
Squeeze the lemon to extract the juice.
Pour the lemon juice into a separate bowl.
Add a pinch of salt and the olive oil.
Season with pepper.
Chop the basil leaves and add them to the dressing. Reserve a few whole leaves for the finish.
Add the dressing to the melon, tomato and feta preparation. Combine gently.
Serve the salad in the melon halves. Finish with a few whole basil leaves. Season with some ground pepper. This delicious salad should be served really cold. Enjoy!
