This raw almond powder is processed in France, in the Gers region, from almonds grown in Tunisia by the SMSA Magel Bel Abbès agricultural cooperative, which is committed to preserving the balance of resources in its semi-arid region and creating jobs.
Before being ground into powder, the almonds are slowly roasted to bring out a more intense flavour.
Its coarse grind (0 to 2 mm) is also what sets it apart from other almond powders. It contains small almond pieces.
This adds an extra touch to certain savoury or sweet recipes.
Uses:
This raw, roasted almond powder can be used in baking, in financiers, biscuits, cakes, tarts or creams.
When incorporated into a dough, it adds a moist texture and a subtle but lingering flavour.
