Before starting this Spicy Beef Rolls recipe, make sure you have organised all the necessary ingredients.
In a frying pan, brown the minced beef and crushed tomatoes.
Add the cumin, cinnamon and mild paprika.
Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer over low heat...
... until all the water from the tomatoes has evaporated.
Let a cool for a bit, then add the whole eggs. Combine well.
Lay one sheet of phyllo pastry on the work surface.
Using a brush, spread the whole surface of the pastry with melted butter.
Cover with another sheet of phyllo pastry.
Brush with melted butter. Repeat the same operation until you obtain a stack of 5 sheets.
Arrange the meat preparation in the centre, into a sausage shape.
Gently wrap the meat with the phyllo pastry.
Place the beef roll on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
Glaze the surface with melted butter.
Bake at 180°C (gas 4) until golden and crispy.
Remove from the oven and cut into even sections, at a slanted angle. This delicious recipe should be served hot.
