Kadaïf is a dough made mainly from flour and water, which is then stretched into very fine strands.
These strands are often topped with dried fruit or savoury ingredients, drizzled with melted butter and an aromatic syrup, before being baked in the oven for a crispy, delicately fragrant result.
Kadaïf is also available pre-roasted for use as a basic ingredient or to coat other preparations. It adds crunch to recipes.
Kadaïf is widely used in oriental pastries, particularly in Dubai chocolate bars.
