Peperoncini ripieni al formaggio, or bell peppers stuffed with cheese, are a very gourmet Italian specialty of which there are several versions.
They are usually served as an aperitif or as an antipasto.
Delicious little peppers cooked until soft and filled here with creamy ricotta (sometimes mozzarella).
Eaten hot or at room temperature, it's a matter of taste.
Some fry them or add grated parmesan for even more delicacy.
Offered in small oil cans by the Dilillo house, it becomes easy to consume them all year round. Bon appetite!
