Made from hazelnuts that have had their skins removed, they are then crushed and coated in sugar that has been heated until it caramelises, giving them a beautiful golden colour and an intensely rich flavour.
This process brings out the natural flavours of the hazelnut, developing notes of toastiness, a hint of roasted flavour and sweetness.
