Huilerie Beaujolaise's artisanal basil olive oil combines the powerful flavour of olives with the freshness of basil.
After mixing the olives and fresh basil leaves, the mixture is crushed and kneaded until it forms a paste. The oil is then extracted from this paste and filtered.
In cooking, it is particularly appreciated for seasoning and finishing dishes.
Uses:
It is ideal on a tomato salad, burrata or mozzarella, where it adds a fresh and fragrant note.
It also goes very well with pasta, grilled vegetables, fish, white meats, gazpacho, carpaccio, and is delicious with warm goat's cheese toasties.
It is best to drizzle it on just before serving to preserve all its aromas.
