This black sesame paste, with its creamy texture, has a sweet, roasted flavour and a good, non-bitter peanut taste.
It is widely used in pastries and cooking, and adds a lovely grey or black hue to dishes.
Entirely natural, it is one of the success stories of producer Kuki Sangyo, who first specialised in salt, then rapeseed oil, before finally concentrating exclusively on sesame.
Applications:
Black sesame paste can be used in a wide range of savoury dishes, particularly noodle dishes, as well as sauces, marinades and dressings. It is also delicious diluted in purées and cream soups.
It is also widely used in pastries, to make black sesame cookies, cheesecakes and ice cream.
