Tin mould for making Tielle sétoise, a speciality of the south of France.
Also useful for sweet or savoury pies, individual meat, vegetable or fruit pies, and is ideal for custard or flan.

You have opted for a tinplate utensil. Tinplate (steel sheet with a tin coating) is a material with good resistance to oxidation, but it is not recommended to store food in it for a long time.
