Ingredients for When cooking certain fish (snapper fillets, salmon steaks..):
Fish fillets (salmon, snapper) or whole fish (dover sole, salmon...)
Method for How to grill a fish:
Slightly grease the cast-iron grill. Or, we may directly grease the piece of fish to be cooked or directly grill the pieces of fish that were previously marinated. In this case, the excess marinade must be removed before starting cooking.
Place the piece crosswise on the hot grill.
After a few minutes, give it a quarter turn so that you obtain square lines on the side of the fish which is in contact with the grill.
Turn the fish over using a spatula and repeat the process on the other side.
Make sure the piece of fish is not sticking. This would give a bad burnt taste.
It is common make the square lines on pieces of fish using the grill and then finish cooking for thick pieces.
When you burn the upper side of a grilled meat or a cake, it will taste burnt.
