It was the first time I used a cooking thermometer, and it was chaos. I wanted to do a simple wet caramel.
I dont know if it was the heat conducted from the recipient or that it was a bit too close to the flame.. Since there was a clip I naively thought that I could let it stay with the caramel. I think I used a pan too small which made the thermometer stick out a bit and apparently too close to the fire.
It still works, but it's a bit curved now.
