Rice with Ham and Peas

Ingredients for Rice with Ham and Peas :

  • 2 thick slices cooked ham
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 100 g rice
  • 2 packages frozen peas
  • 2 glasses beef broth
  • 1 glass white wine
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • salt
  • pepper

Technical stages for Rice with Ham and Peas :

  • Dice the ham.
  • Heat up the oil in a large pot. Brown the ham cubes. Add the frozen peas, mix well.
  • Heat up the broth.
  • Pour the rice in the pot, coat like for pillaf rice, until translucent.
  • Pour the white wine, mix to soak the rice. Add the broth, salt (not much because of the ham), add pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for 18 minutes or until cooked. Taste it.
  • ciseler the parlsey and mix it juste before serving.
  • SLIM TIP :
  • A well balanced recipe: cereal and vegetables, that is, glucids and vegetal proteins ; animal proteins with the ham ; insaturated fatty acids from olive oil, vitamins from the parsley.
