Party bread

1/3: Cutting the bread

Ingredients for Party bread :

  • 1 large champagne cork shaped country bread loaf weighing 1 kg (made the night before)
  • 200 g sheep's cheese
  • 2 slices ham
  • 2 or 4 slices of Bayonne ham
  • 200 g soft butter
  • 200 g roquefort butter
  • 1 ribbon

Important points for Party bread :

  • Cut off the top with a bread knife.
  • With a long thin bladed knife (for example sole fillet knife), cut around the inside of the bread.
  • Insert your knife just above the base of the bread and move side to side so that the inside of the bread can be removed in one piece.
  • Use your hand to separate the inside from the crust.
  • Remove the inside of the bread.
  • Cut the inside of bread in 2 parts and slice each part into 8 or 10 slices.
