Apple Fritters

Ingredients for Apple Fritters :

  • 4 apples
  • caster sugar
  • frying (oil)
  • Batter:
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 eggs or 4 yolks
  • 50 g butter
  • 100 g milk
  • 150 g beer
  • 10 g baker's yeast
  • 5 g salt
  • 4 egg whites

Technical stages for Apple Fritters :

  • In a bowl, place the flour in fountain.
  • Add salt, diluted yeast in warm milk, and the eggs.
  • Mix using a whisk by adding the flour little by little until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Add the beer and mix just until combined.
  • Add melted butter and leave the batter to rest 30 minutes to 1 hour in room temperature.
  • Beat the egg whites stiff and delicately add them to the batter.
  • Heat the frying oil.
  • Meanwhile, peel, seed and slice the apples.
  • Pass them into the batter and dip them in hot oil.
  • Fry the fritters on both sides until they obtain a nice gold colour.
  • Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with caster sugar. Eat warm !
